We’ve got a loooong history with dough and kind of started the whole cookie-dough-in-ice-cream trend in 1984 when a fan suggested it to us! Ever since then, we've been dough-sessed! Here’s a quick summary of how this dough-licious flavour rose to power in the ice cream world.

  • 1984

    At our very first Scoop Shop in a renovated gas station in Burlington, VT, an anonymous fan suggested that we mix gobs of cookie dough into our Vanilla ice cream. We gave it a dough and BOOM people seemed to like it....really, really like it!

  • 1991

    Fans in our Scoop Shops became dough-ssed with our Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream! They loved it so much that we had to pack it into pints and bring it to grocery store shelves!

  • 2009

    In 2009 we landed in Australia and opened our very first Scoop Shop in Manly, Sydney - bringing along, three surprises.... Our dough-licious Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream and our co-founders themselves, Ben and Jerry for the grand opening!


  • 2015

    Fans did an experiment and dough-scovered that our Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream has more cookie dough than other brands. #Win

  • 2017

    It comes at dough surprise that when we launched Pint Slices, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was one of the first flavours we created.

  • 2019

    In 2019 our Flavour Guru's dough-livered on one of our fans biggest requests for a Vegan friendly version of our popular cookie dough flavour. Meet our Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Non-Dairy - it's dough-verloaded with cookie dough love, all without a lick of dairy!

  • Today

    Our Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream continues to dough-minate and has remained a reigning fan flavour-ite! In Australia, fans scoop up around 2.7 million scoops of it every year!
